‘sparkling moments’ or the ‘imagination of dreams’.

Designer

Donghyun Kim is a Seoul born and London based Jewellery designer. 

She graduated in june 2014 with a MA (hons) of jewellery deign from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design (CSM) in London. 

She has studied jewellery at CSM since 2007 and fulfilled the entire course with highly qualified grade.

Ambitious, passionate in art and design, she decided to join the famous Central Saint Martins College in order to acquire a solid education and benefit from a new approach of design. 

Especially the research course takes her to reach a rich research culture, and have a wide range of interests and perspectives. 

While living in London she had many opportunities to meet various projects and also collaborated with companies worldwide.

Always looking for new challenges, she has in heart to innovate and to develop new techniques. 

She Fascinated by the visual and aesthetic from unexpected texture that observed on journey through person experiences. 

This process enable her to consider both the aesthetic and functional qualities of form, allowing freedom of creativity and leaving behind preconceptions of what an object should look like and places.

Precise and meticulous, she likes to express herself and communicate through jewellery design while respecting and highlighting the material.

Philosopy

Hint of Humour.

The surface texture of Matte and Satin metals embraces a modern form which gives a hint of wit to the design. 

Using colour and texture, we find the fine features of various metals. 

This allows the audience to enjoy and experience while interacting to find the right color and texture that suits the perfect jewelry for every individual.
